Tucker Carlson talks with Col. Douglas Macgregor about the possibility of the Israel-Gaza conflict spreading to become a regional conflict or, even, leading to another World War. Carlson begins by showing a video by Lindsey Graham making the bizarre argument that to stop the war from escalating we must escalate the war and attack Iran. Unfortunately, our so-called elites seem to be bent on this path.
As Carlson and Macgregor discuss, the issue is that Israel can't simply push the Palestinians from Gaza because (i) it doesn't solve the problem but only moves the problem 20 or 30 miles and (ii) Egypt won't take them. The result will be a protracted ground battle in Gaza with a multitude of civilian deaths, perhaps being so egregious that Egypt and/or Turkey will intervene on behalf of the Palestinians. And it could easily escalate to a nuclear conflict. Worse, because of Democrat policies, the U.S. is weaker militarily and economically than it has been in decades.

ReplyDeleteIt poses an interesting question: will Americans be willing to fight and die (or send their sons, brothers, or husbands to fight and die) for a government that hates and reviles them?
