The Reconteur Report recently posted an article entitled "
This Penny Is Going To Drop For You. Get Busy," in which he warned:
Save Oklahoma, there isn't a single state in the republic that was all red in 2016. There are probably no precincts that are, anywhere, from coast to coast. You're not fighting NYFC, Hollyweird, or the DC swamp, nor will you be. They're just logistics and air support. Jam their signal and monkeywrench their efforts, and they no longer get any vote.
The people you're going to have to sort out, down and dirty, all live within five to twenty miles of where you're sitting, reading this, right now. Bobby O'Rourke, and the witches on The Spew won't be knocking on your door to take your guns, coerce your support, or haul you to the boxcars, come the day. The people who will are already in place nearby, whether you or they know it now. So you may as well face that fact.
This was brought home to me because of a couple articles from
The College Fix about the local state university, Boise State University (BSU).
One of the articles described how BSU was holding a "book circle" (workshop) for faculty and staff to, according to the University's own announcement, "[c]ome learn how white people are racists."
The book circle is hosted by the Gender Equity Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning and is centered on the book “What Does It Mean to Be White?: Developing White Racial Literacy” by Robin DiAngelo, a “white fragility” expert who speaks at college campuses nationwide.
While the program is open to “folks of all racial identities,” the website states, “the primary audience of this book [is] people who are interested in unpacking white identity and how white folks distance themselves from conversations about race, as well as learning how to engage white folks in recognizing their privilege.”
“We will dig deep into ourselves to explore the ways in which we all, as individuals, sometimes unknowingly, support racism and white supremacy,” the university’s website states.
Another article from The College Fix reports:
Idaho’s Boise State University is hosting an event next week entitled “Inclusive Teaching Means Inclusive Grading, Too.” It’s listed as part of the BUILD certificate program, or Boise State Uniting for Inclusion and Leadership in Diversity.
The program’s stated purpose is to help participants gain knowledge of, demonstrate commitment to, and become a campus leader in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
By inclusive grading, they mean grading that is not based on merit.
Are you sure you don't live in California? Or, did all of California move to Idaho?
ReplyDelete"What Does It Mean to Be White?" Being white means understanding that indoor plumbing, electric lights, and antibiotics are not magic. Being white means we're not supposed to speak up in opposition to all this diversity and inclusion bovine fecal matter.
We have a lot of people that have fled from liberal utopias residing here. But it's not like academia hires locally.

ReplyDeleteHe is just an associate professor, according to the article, so I would guess that he is sucking up in order to get a full professorship.
