Mass Killer Stabs 4 To Death In Queens--Is Killed By Police

    38-year-old Courtney Gordon of the Bronx has been identified as the murderer. Police in Queens responded to a 911 about a man stabbing a family to death, and confronted a man leaving the residence as they arrived. He pulled a knife and started attacking the officers before being shot to death. He apparently had also started a fire in the house before trying to leave. Police found three people dead in the house. A fourth victim died after transport to a hospital. All were apparently stabbed. The first two officers were injured by the killer and there are reports of a third injured victim being treated for their wounds. 

    Interestingly, while many of the various news outlets I checked were showing photographs of the murder weapon--a common kitchen knife--no one had photographs of Mr. Gordon.
