Jack the Ripper Identified?

Using a blood and seman stained shawl found next to one of the victims--Catherine Eddowes--and comparing mitochondrial DNA extracted from the shawl, it appears that the murderer was Polish immigrant Aaron Kosminski. Kosminski was one of the police's prime suspects at the time. Although they did not have enough evidence to charge him, police later had him committed to a mental asylum, where he died.
