I've written before how The Book of Mormon was written specifically for us in these latter-days, particularly in North America, and that the events in The Book of Mormon mirror what we will see and experience. This video is premised on the same idea, but has the added advantage of matching them up to certain historical events. I would note that while we live in a period corresponding to the rise of the Gadianton Robbers prior to Christ appearing to the Nephites, we haven't yet experienced the persecutions similar to those suffered by the Nephite Church immediately before Christ's birth or something similar to the breakup of the Nephite nation prior to Christ's return.
