I don't know the skill levels of the men involved, but it seems that the two weapons are fairly evenly matched which somewhat surprise me because I would have expected the rapier to, overall, be a quicker weapon.

Those of you interested in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) may find this video of sparring between someone using a longsword and someone else using a rapier to be interesting:
