"SHTF: A Process or an Event"

The question of "what are you peppering for?" often comes up either as a question from outsiders as to why preppers do what they do, or within the prepper community since a substantial number of preppers seem to have a specific calamity on which they focus their preps. However, as I noted recently, realistically we attempt to set our goals for preparing more generally.

Phil Hovatter, at the Approaching Day Prepper, asks another relevant question: whether we are preparing for a process or event, by which the author means something occurring over a period of years or even decades, or a sudden calamity. He has some good thoughts on the matter, so check it out.
