In the video below, Smith & Wesson go over their latest "Bodyguard" revolver. At the risk of being pedantic, although they call this their "Bodyguard 2.0" this is far from being the second "bodyguard" revolver as the name was applied to their series of J-frame revolvers featuring shrouded hammers. This is, rather, an upgraded version of their M&P Bodyguard 38, introduced in 2014. This particular model features a steel barrel in an aluminum shroud, steal cylinder, aluminum frame, and polymer grip module and ambidextrous cylinder release. It is double action only with a fully enclosed hammer and is chambered for .38 Special +P. The only real differences between it and the Bodyguard 1.0 that is apparent from the video seems to be better sights on this latest iteration.
