Democrats' Strategy To Undermine Trump Presidency

Elizabeth Warren lays out "the Plan to Fight Back" against a second Trump presidency. After the initial platitudes about helping the working class (and how heartfelt can that be since she supports the very mass immigration that drives down wages and drives up housing costs), Warren lays out the general Democrat strategy.

First, and foremost, is to not cooperate with Trump on any legislation, especially tax breaks or efforts to reduce health insurance premiums (and, yes, I can remember when Obama Care was passed and the subsequent spike in health insurance premiums). I'm sure that they will fight Trump tooth and nail to prevent declines in energy prices as well.

Second, although there is not much detail offered on this point, she urges the Left to fight Trump in the Courts. This may mean more abusive lawsuits against Trump, but more likely this will be where the real fight to keep energy prices high and the U.S. dependent on other countries for raw materials will happen under the guise of "environmentalism" and fighting "global warming."

Third, she wants Leftists to work together (e.g., community organizing) to fight against Trump on the local and state levels. She doesn't specifically call for civil disobedience of the mostly peaceful variety, but that is handled by cut outs.

Fourth and finally, she urges the military and the rest of the bureaucratic state to mobilize against Trump. For instance, she urges the chief military pencil pushers to "issue a directive now reiterating that the military’s oath is to the Constitution" (i.e., essentially telling troops that it is okay to not obey directives issued by the President if that President is Trump). She also encourages Senate Democrats to rush through as many judicial and regulatory appointments they can before the inauguration, although there has been no rush for the past 4 years. In other words, while she complains that Trump could stack the court system, she wants to stack the court system and fortify the Deep State bureaucracy against any changes Trump could make in personnel.

    1. If the Democrats had not gone after Trump so hard during his first term, he probably would not have gained the popularity that he now enjoys.
