This video from Gun Sam-Revolver Aficionado pits a couple Hydrashok loads against each other: 240 grain .44 Magnum versus 230 grain .45 ACP. The basic takeaway is that the .44 Magnum tended to have an extra couple inches of penetration, and better expansion--particularly after going through the heavy denim and fiberboard that the producer of these videos likes to use to better mimic shooting a live target. As always, he also tests velocity and accuracy.
