"A Conservative Is A Liberal Who Has Been Mugged"

 I don't believe the old adage--a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged--is completely true. r/K political theory is a better predictor. But I can see someone on the borderline becoming more K after being mugged. In any event, here is one instance that follows the saying: "Portland doctor knocked out by a 'homeless' attacker reveals bloody wounds to her face and blames the city for slow police response - claiming she changed her vote from Democrat to Republican." My prediction is that she becomes a supporter of the Second Amendment, at least to some extent.
