Marcus Wynne has announced that he is offering a free download of his book, Salt - Book 1 of the Revengers, for the Kindle at Amazon. In it, a dirty cop using his position to groom and rape underage girls comes to the attention of the wrong guys--two ex-Force Recon members who are trying to make the world a little better one dead bad guy at a time. As Wynne notes, the book falls into the same category of stories as Death Wish or The Equalizer. I read it and enjoyed it. In fact, I've read and enjoyed the whole series.
