History May Not Repeat, But It Sure Rhymes: China's New Epidemic

You've probably seen articles concerning China's new epidemic of respiratory diseases, which appear to be hitting children especially hard. The cynical among you have probably been expecting this since next year is an election year. The Chinese have been rather closed lip about what is going on, and the explanations of what is going on have varied from it merely being seasonal illnesses (e.g., flu), cyclical epidemics, or reduced immunity among children because they were all locked up during the Covid-19 lockdowns. The latest excuse, which might be scarier, is that China is facing a epidemic of antibiotic resistant infections: "Doctors in China say they may have found culprit of 'white lung' pneumonia outbreak: Superbugs"--Daily Mail.

One of the reason that we see "superbugs" evolve in third-world countries is because they distribute antibiotics like they are candy. You would think that China would be more responsible, but they are not.

There may be more going on than just the pneumonia, however. China Uncensored has a video going over the issues:

    1. I wouldn't care either but for the fact that there are no restrictions on who comes into our country.
