This Is The Way

First up, CBS reports that “Target's sales slump for first time in 6 years. Executives blame "strong reaction" to Pride merch.”  Customers being upset doesn’t normally move a corporation, but in this case harassment of employees by customers and several state AGs warning Target that their selling transgender clothing to children might violate state laws got Target to pull or, at the least, move degenerate clothing to less prominent places in the stores.

Speaking of degenerate, a Georgia teacher was fired for reading a “gender binary” book to fifth graders. Now if we can get charges filed against the teacher for contributing to the delinquency of a minor or similar. One charge for each student.

And get woke go broke is coming to non-profit theater companies. From the article:

Major performing arts groups around the country are facing unprecedented financial crises that have led to layoffs and cancellations of entire seasons as their once-loyal audiences flee in droves and donations dry up.

Almost all of these organizations embraced wokeness and placed far-left political activism at the center of their artistic output and public messaging, alienating large portions of their faithful customer base in the process. Many also embraced harsh COVID restrictions, including mask and vaccine mandates.

The sad part is that those that are not have to close down are doubling down. It appears that they made the mistake of hiring neo- Puritans more intent on shaming audiences for not being sufficiently woke than actually trying to entertain anyone. The live theater version of brutalist architecture.

  1. And those theater companies are coming for fedbux to fund them. Never fund your enemies.

    1. And when Republicans balk at providing funding, the elites will start crying about how its needed for "the art".
