July 3 Philly Shooter: The Perfect Trifecta

On July 3, Kimbrady Carriker, 40, shot dead four men and a 15-year-old boy in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia. Carriker seems to have been the perfect trifecta of wokeness: he was black, he was LGBTQ, and he was a Black Lives Matter supporter. Per the New York Post:

On his Facebook page, Carriker posted two pictures of himself wearing a bra, a women’s top and earrings with his hair braided long in March, three months before the alleged shooting.

He also regularly posts about supporting Black Lives Matter, including supporting workers who protested in the Strike For Black Lives in July 2020.

And:

In May 2020, Carriker also posted a video to his Facebook of a burning Philadelphia police car that had been daubed with grafitti including “ACAB” — an acronym for “All coppers are b—–ds” — and captioned it: “I was there; where were you? #we matter.” However, It is unclear if he had filmed the video himself.

And for all those who hear about this type of incident and say "we just need more laws":

Carriker had been arrested in 2003 and charged with possession of a weapon without a license, carrying a firearm in public and drug possession, according to Philadelphia court records.

He eventually pleaded guilty to having a firearm without a license and the other charges were dropped.

He was placed on three years’ probation and made to pay over $1,000 in costs.

As to the shooting, itself, the article reports:

Police said the 40-year-old male suspect was armed with a rifle, pistol, extra magazines, a police scanner and bulletproof vest when he fatally shot four men on the street and then chased and killed a fifth man inside a home.

A 2-year-old boy was shot four times in the legs, while a 13-year-old boy also suffered gunshot wounds to his legs, according to cops.

The gunman had fired at police as they chased him for several blocks before he eventually surrendered in an alley, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said.

Just The News observes that "If Carriker identified as a woman, he would be the third mass-shooting suspect with either a transgender or nonbinary identity in the past several months, after Nashville's Audrey Hale and Colorado Springs' Anderson Aldrich."

The Daily Mail relates: "He had posted eerie articles to Facebook titled: 'How do you know if an evil spirit is following you,' as well as a photo of a map listing historic 'black massacres' throughout the US with the caption stating: 'We kept the receipts.'" He also posted links to products that other media will probably use to paint the picture that he was conservative, although there is no context so it is not clear why he was also posting photographs of those items.

  1. VICE has an article on their homepage and it says quote: "The far right is already using the Philadelphia shooting to smear trans people." Then they go on to claim that Carriker is a pro-gun Trump supporter....LOL

  2. Since Carriker was black, LBGTQ, and a Buy Large Mansions supporter, his shooting will be blamed on straight White Trump supporters.

    1. Yup. I'm surprised that any news outlets were brave enough to even show a photograph of the murderer.
