Mass Shooting in Kansas City -- Media Yawns

The shooters weren't the right color or political persuasion, and cut against the narrative. The shooting at the Tequila KC Bar in Kansas City, Kansas, left 4 dead and 5 wounded. Kansas City, Kansas, Mayor David Alvey, remarked in a press conference on the shooting that "our police department really has done an outstanding job of working with the community to identify the problems and to come up with solutions."

Three of the victims have been identified as Alfredo Calderon, Everado Meza and Francisco Garcia Anaya. The suspects have been identified as Hugo Villanueva-Morales, 29, and Javier Alatorre, 23. Alatorre is in custody, but Morales remains at large.

Villanueva-Morales was released from prison in March 2019; he had been incarcerated for three robbery convictions. Villanueva-Morales was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after attacking an off-duty sheriff's deputy at a bar on August 9, 2019, and apparently awaiting trial.

From another article: "Alatorre, meanwhile, had past convictions for fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement in Kansas and for driving while intoxicated in Missouri. He also had pending charges in Missouri for tampering with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and resisting or interfering with arrest, detention or stop. Court documents describe one chase in which he weaved in and out of traffic on Interstate 70 in a stolen vehicle while reaching speeds of 100 mph (161 kph)."

I couldn't find anything about the suspects' immigration status or if they were "Dreamers."
