Photographer and travel vests have long been the staple of IDPA competition while being ridiculed for real world concealed carry on the belief that it marks you as carrying a weapon. Massad Ayoob points out that he is unaware of any cases where someone was "shot first" when using such a vest, as well as the many advantages to such vests.
