VOTD: "Why Did The NRA Abandon The Gun Community"

The Yankee Marshal responds to a frequently asked question: "Why Did the NRA Abandon the Gun Community?" (6 min.). His answer is that the NRA never abandoned the gun community ... because it has never stood with the gun community. The Yankee Marshal then gives a brief history of the NRA's efforts to avoid having to do the bidding of the gun community. This still holds true today. The NRA rushed out almost immediately to voice their support for a bump-stock ban, and has thrown its support behind so-called Red Flag bills (see here and here, for example).
