February 11, 2018 -- A Quick Run Around the Web (Updated)

"Land or Death: Mandela's Failed Rainbow Nation"--Lauren Southern (8-1/2 min.)
The latest in Southern's series of videos on Black violence against whites (primarily Boers) in South Africa.

  • "EXCLUSIVE — PHOTOS: Mexican Cartel Improves Weapons Manufacturing Capabilities"--Breitbart. The article reports: "Despite being considered a younger cartel, Mexican intelligence information provided to Breitbart Texas labels the Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) as a violence-prone organization with higher operational capabilities than any other group. As part of their expansion strategy, CJNG supplies weapons to other armed organizations at war with the Sinaloa Cartel and Los Zetas." It goes on:
To maintain their growing power, CJNG is building clandestine arms factories in Colima and Jalisco, specializing in assault rifles. The weapons are clones of the popular AR-15 rifles and AK-47s in .223cal, 7.62x39mm, and .308cal. The weapons can be identified by their lacking factory markings and serial numbers. Additionally, some of the arms are metallic in color since some factories do not apply the matte finish to protect from rust.
This makes sense. If the ATF and/or DEA were supplying arms to the Sinaloa cartel (via the Gunwalker and Fast and Furious and, probably, other unknown means), it implies that they probably were taking measures to restrict firearms from reaching competing cartels. Thus, these competing cartels would need to obtain their own sources of firearms.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 42.4 percent of federal kidnapping convictions are of non-citizens. Non-citizens also account for 31.5 percent of federal drug convictions. Even though they’re only 8.4% of the population. Obviously there aren’t enough Americans to commit these crimes.
  • Related: "Column: Venezuela resembles Dante’s ‘Inferno’"--Detroit News. This is where socialism always leads: "Rather than keep people safe, Venezuelan police and national guardsmen have become political enforcers used by President Nicolás Maduro to quash dissent."
  • Related: "Mad Max violence stalks Venezuela's lawless roads"--Reuters. Amazingly this somehow got past the MSM censors: "Barred by law from carrying guns, the Andean truckers form convoys to protect themselves, text each other about trouble spots - and keep moving as fast as possible."
  • Having a conversation on race: "High school science fair project questioning African American intelligence sparks outrage"--Sacramento Bee. The headline is somewhat misleading, even as it is revealing of the newspaper editor's true feelings, because the project wasn't just about black intelligence. Rather, the student's hypothesis was: “If the average IQs of blacks, Southeast Asians, and Hispanics are lower than the average IQs of non-Hispanic whites and Northeast Asians, then the racial disproportionality in (HISP) is justified.” HISP refers to the accelerated Humanities and International Studies program at C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento. The student (an Asian) had other students of each race take I.Q. tests, which apparently supported his hypothesis.
In recent years my law school alma mater has hosted an annual “celebration of diversity” event, which I recently attended out of curiosity. I thought that my law school class of long ago was quite diverse, with students from all over Texas, who had attended a variety of colleges and universities located throughout the country, representing a wide range of backgrounds—socio-economic, age, marital status, political orientation, and otherwise.
Alas, that is not what “diversity” means these days. “Diversity” connotes the politically-correct assortment of students (and faculty) from specific racial and ethnic groups that were “under-represented” in the era of primarily meritocratic admissions.  Race-conscious affirmative action at the University of Texas School of Law—once considered controversial and sparingly used—has “fixed” that.
The current administration, and the beneficiaries of decades of racial preferences and ethnic quotas, now celebrate the triumph of identity politics over individual merit. The “celebration of diversity” is a de facto reunion for alumni of color—the “constituency” for continued race-based affirmative action. The law school administration assiduously cultivates that constituency with themed events. This, along with other troubling “innovations,” is a sea change from the UT I remember,
      • "The horrors of the LGBT household"--Vox Popoli. Vox excerpts from Moira Greyland's autobiographical memoir. Greyland was the daughter of science-fiction author Marion Zimmer Bradley. Both of her parents identified as being homosexual:
“I have heard all the customary protestations. ‘Your parents were evil because they were evil, not because they were gay,’ but I disagree,” writes Moira Greyland in her new book, The Last Closet: The Dark Side of Avalon.
“The underlying problem is a philosophical one that is based on beliefs that are not only common to gay culture but to popular culture. And this is the central belief: All Sex is Always Right No Matter What,” she wrote.
“I had both biological parents in the home, but both refused to act like traditional parents,” writes Greyland. “I needed my father to protect me and to see me as a girl instead of refusing to protect me and seeing me as an amorphous nothing who competed with him for boys. I needed my mother to love me and hold me and comfort me instead of being a terrifying, angry dictator. Worse than that, I was expected to not want them to love me and protect me, or to act like normal parents. I was supposed to be happy that they were doing their own thing, no matter what they did to us.”
This is fully consistent with r-select behavior. As the Anonymous Conservative has noted in his book on the subject, and many times on his blog, the r-selected behavior at its extreme has no familial feelings, such as protecting its young; rather, it is highly sexualized and sexualizes offspring as early as it can.
            • Diversity + Proximity = War. "Italy Is Going K"--Anonymous Conservative. You may remember from last week that a Nigerian cultural enricher in Italy had murdered an 18-year old girl and dismembered his body. In retaliation, a local man (Luca Traini) attempted to gun down some in the Nigerian community. His actions have apparently inspired others. AC notes a news article from Italy reporting on the arson of a migrant reception center in the Casertano, which was about to open. Police have no leads on the identity of the arsonist(s). AC also notes another news article from Italy discussing calls for violence against migrants among the far right.
Some may construe the phrase "Diversity + Proximity = War" as a call for violence (see, e.g., this post at Vox Day where he responds to a critic). Not so. It is merely an observation, no different from observing that an apple that detaches from a tree will fall; or that a vehicle approaching a crowded intersection at a high speed without applying breaks will result in a motor vehicle accident. But critics of open borders are modern day Cassandras.
Seen through the perspective of history, Obama's undercover Marxism constituted a malignant tumor on the body of the United States. Like most cancers, it worked silently -- you could feel it only after it had spread throughout the whole body. Unfortunately, our Democratic Party has refused to extirpate Obama's cancer, as proved by its 2016 candidates for the White House: Hillary Clinton, a Marxist posing as a progressive; and Bernie Sanders, an open Marxist who honeymooned in the Soviet Union.
The US-led crackdown, called Operation Shadow Web, on the dark-web organisation occurred simultaneously in 14 countries. On Tuesday the website's server was seized in Paris and accomplices were arrested in Australia, Britain, Italy, Ivory Coast, Kosovo and the US.
"It is one of the biggest crackdowns on international criminal syndicates by the Justice Ministry of the US," Pol Maj Nathapol said.
According to earlier reports, Infraud Organisation traded in stolen credit cards and personal identity data and caused US$530 million in losses. The website also allegedly sold drugs, illegal weapons, stolen credit card PINs, protected wild animals and illegally obtained government documents.
Sergey Sergeyevich Medvedev was arrested in Bangkok last Friday, Feb. 2, by the Thai Crime Suppression Division (CSD) on a request from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation. A laptop and documents were taken as evidence by the CSD.
                       * * *
Medvedev allegedly was an administrator for the Dark Web site Infraud - whose slogan was “In Fraud We Trust” - that dealt primarily in the sale of stolen credit cards and identities and illegally obtained government documents.
The "illegally obtained government documents" is interesting.
