The jury verdict came back in favor of the self-defense assertions by Rittenhouse. The AP article reports that "Rittenhouse, 18, began to choke up, fell to the floor and then hugged one of his attorneys upon hearing the verdict." The pollicization began immediately, with the AP itself going out of the way to observe that "[t]he jury, which appeared to be overwhelmingly white, deliberated for close to 3 1/2 days." The presumption being, I suppose, that a black jury would have found Rittenhouse guilty. Other race-hucksters also piled on with the article reporting:
Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, who is Black and a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, denounced the outcome.
“Over the last few weeks, many dreaded the outcome we just witnessed,” Barnes said. “The presumption of innocence until proven guilty is what we should expect from our judicial system, but that standard is not always applied equally. We have seen so many black and brown youth killed, only to be put on trial posthumously, while the innocence of Kyle Rittenhouse was virtually demanded by the judge.”
Did the three attackers ever face any charges for assaulting Rittenhouse...or pointing a Glock at him?
ReplyDeleteOf course not--their acts were approved of by the local and state government. Gaige Grosskreutz was the guy that pointed the Glock at Rittenhouse. It is my understanding that at the time of the shooting, he had a felony record making it illegal to possess the firearm, but the conviction was expunged earlier this year; and he also had a 2020 felony DUI charged dropped.
DeleteReading the comments from the "other side", it is evident that people are waking up and realize there is a lot of "work" to do here in the FUSA.
ReplyDeleteLots of "work".
I've also seen the leftist media sites, such as HuffPo and MSNBC, still publishing pieces containing falsehoods such as that Rittenhouse had obtained or was carrying the AR-15 illegally.
