It looks like I was mostly correct on my guesses. The Glock 44 is a semi-auto .22 LR pistol that is the same dimensions as the Glock 19 Gen 5. It is lightweight at 14.74 oz unloaded (but with magazine). Currently, it ships with a 10-round magazine, but according to The Firearm Blog article, there are rumors that a 15-round magazine will be coming out, and, in fact, the author wrote: "my GLOCK carrying cases were marked 15 round."
