The Firearms Blog reports that Izhmash has announced that it will be introducing a 9 mm carbine (the Saiga 9) and a civilian version of the AK-107--the new AK variant using a "balanced recoil" system to minimize recoil.(There is an animation at the link showing the basic operation of the AK-107).
