This sort of behavior started in 2008 with the election of an anti-gun administration and hit a peak after the Sandy Hook incident in 2012...when people were sure that this was the big one where serious gun control measures would take hold. Fast forward to 2016 and people were buying and hoarding out of a quite justified fear that Hillary Clinton would win the election. I suspect that in the months prior to the 2020 election there will be another buying spree. This seems a good thing to the gun owning community, but at some point the "boom-bust" cycle will take effect. I maintain that eventually people will reach the saturation point where the majority of people have "enough" ammo and guns...or perhaps a surplus of them...and/or some people will have spent all their available funds and be forced to stop buying. At that point, sales will plummet, and production will grind to a halt...workers will be laid off and stock values will plummet. With operations like Remington and Colt having declared bankruptcy during good times, the picture is quite bleak. And while it may sound like paranoia...when entities like Freedom Group are failing, they could be bought up at fire-sale prices by those anti-gunners with deep pockets...chaps like Bloomberg and Soros. Guys like that are nutty enough to spend that sort of money and then sinking the operations by liquidating the properties and material assets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2195077991229481958.post-12933672685042403942019-06-04T16:39:11.502-06:002019-06-04T16:39:11.502-06:00"stockpilers... set aside 1/5th of whatever t..."stockpilers... set aside 1/5th of whatever they buy for future use..."<br /><br />Only one-fifth?
