October Was Deadliest Bear Attack Month In Japan

This is what happens to a disarmed population. From the New York Post: "Japan suffered deadliest month of bear attacks in history, with 7 deaths and 88 maulings in October." That was just October. The article goes on to report that for a six month period beginning in April, there were a total of 12 people killed and 196 mauled by bears. Moreover, "[t]he incidents have occurred in 21 of the country’s 47 prefectures and have spread from mostly rural areas to now plaguing urban centers."

  2. They need more hunting. Bears are especially quick to forget. Especially if it's been several generations since they were shot at.
