I stayed in the worst motel in the universe in Tucumcari. It was a 60's era motel with one other set of guests - we checked in at 2am - we were just too tired to go further. The carpet didn't cover the concrete floor, and it was wet. And sticky - how you get a soaking wet carpet in the desert is beyond me, but in Tucumcari? Anything is possible.

ReplyDeleteI can think of several explanations for a wet carpet, and none of them good. Mental note to self: never rent a room at a hotel in Tucumcari.
